From the beginning…

Todd and I dreamed together a couple of years a go about how to incorporate the arts in to student worship. As we talked about direction Todd brought to the table his skills as a graphic artist and pictables became a reality.

I have used Todd in a small intimate worship setting with 20 something's. Watching him paint as we sang added significantly to the experience. Later in the year, Todd painted for me at our Youth Encounter. We had 4000 students at this event and the paintings made things come alive. Students connected with what Todd was doing and it has continued to create discussion among the students.

Todd would be a great guy to partner with a worship band or as a stand alone piece. He does excellent work and has a servant's heart. I can highly recommend him to work with your ministry.

Unique look…

Last February we had a series of special Sunday evening services and we began them with Todd Damotte and one of his “pictables.” Our youth had seen him at a large youth gathering and we knew it was just the sort of service we needed to start our special services. Todd paints while you watch and meditate to music, then shares his testimony or a brief “explanation” of the painting he has just created. Each of his works takes a unique look at a spiritual truth and thus the parable in a picture or “pictable” as he calls it. Todd’s talent and heart are obvious as he sets up, paints, and speaks to his crowd about his Lord and his personal relationship with Him. It is admittedly a little different presentation of the gospel than what we’re used to, but it is a dramatic and clear presentation. Ours was the face of Christ on the cross. We purchased the painting and have it displayed prominently in our building now as a constant reminder of what our Savior did for us on Calvary. When I preach, I’m afraid the words are too soon forgotten, but Todd’s pictables can last indefinitely. Thanks, Todd, for giving us a lasting reminder of Jesus’ sacrifice. I highly recommend Todd and his “pictables” to your and your church.

Attention Getting...

Todd did our "Kid Friendly" service by painting as I told the story of Elijah. The children, ages 3-12, were enthralled. The creation of the story from a blank canvas to a fervent prophet calling fire from heaven kept the kids' attention like nothing else we've ever done. From a Pastor's view I appreciate Todd's emails, sketch proposals, and consultation in preparation for the event. He asked questions that showed his experience - not only with art, but with people. Todd gave everyone an image of the Bible story that will come to our minds every time we hear it for years to come.

Fresh ministry…

Todd Damotte is on the cutting edge of communicating with today's visual generation. Pictables are powerful stories told through the medium of paint on canvas. Todd recently led us in a visual worship experience that brought tears of joy to the eyes of many in our church family. Todd then shared his pilgrimage from commercial graphic design to using his gift in communicating the gospel in the church. You will be blessed my Todd's ministry. He is creative, committed to Christ and is adaptable to your schedule and church needs. This ministry is as fresh as the ministry of our Lord who often used visual objects to make spiritual points.

A renewed sense…

Todd's ministry was an awesome addition to a concert we had @ 360 degrees youth club. It added a whole other dimension to the words that were being sung. The painting Todd did for us was a close up of Jesus' bruised and bloodied face with the crown of thorns and was very detailed. I watched as students and adults went from one emotion to another. Our emotions went from interesting to convicting and all others in between. The piercing eye seemed to look directly at you no matter where you stood. Many people said it gave them a renewed sense of the great price that was paid. I still have people talking about it nearly 6 months later. I was glad we were able to purchase such a great painting and a great memento of such a powerful concert due to the added aspect of the painting. I will definitely have Todd back again and I have already recommended him to several of my Youth and Adult Pastoral friends.
